Time of Year

August comes around with increasing speed. It seems no time since I was talking about Aoife last. I find myself asking does it ever recede into a bank of resolved experiences? I find myself answering in the negative, I don’t think any parent ever loses that raw jab which continues to come and visit from time to time when we least expect it. My friend David Wyse lost his mother recently. He found that Francis Weller quote which certainly speaks to me.

Aoife too is my unashamed muse. She draws me to write about her constantly. Here is another for her on her eighteenth anniversary. Read, enjoy, pass it on send me some feedback.

Grief is experience through the mundane. Simple but powerful. The accompanying image really compliments the poem.

Hi Peter,

A great observation! Social media can be a scary place... I also need to reduce my time there

Hugs,

A great one, Peter, in the context you describe. I don't read social media myself, I doubt my equilibrium could stand it. 'The balance of his mind disturbed' yes, I think it would be.

Yes, gossip is a weapon of mass destruction.

In my business as well as personal life I have zero tolerance.
